Greene County Safety Exchange
The Greene County Safety Exchange was developed to provide an interactive forum for the open discussion of ideas, issues, successes, and lessons learned in the field of Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H). This opportunity is available to all businesses and industries with a desire to improve employee safety awareness and performance. Safety, human resource, and maintenance managers, as well as other employees with ES&H responsibilities, are encouraged to attend the exchange meetings on the third Thursday of every other month at different host locations. The meetings are from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and include lunch. For more information regarding the Greene County Safety Exchange, contact one of the following officers:

- The 2013 Greeneville Fire Department Community Service Award was presented to the Greene County Safety Exchange at the department's inaugural awards ceremony held October 29. According to The Greeneville Sun, Ron Metcalfe, emcee for the event, stated, "The success of this group is immense. Not only have they prevented numerous workplace accidents, but they have had significant economic impact on industry by reducing lost employee work days."
